The job of an Altar Server is to assist the priest during Mass. To become an Altar Server, you must be in a certain grade or of a certain age and complete training. Training is scheduled a couple of times a year and will be announced in the church bulletin. Usually, three kids are asked to serve at each Mass (Sat @ 6pm, Sun @ 8:30am, 10am, and 5:30pm). The Altar Server schedule comes out quarterly and depending on how many kids are signed up for that Mass, you will serve every 3-5 weeks. Also, Altar Servers are asked to serve funerals. Hillery Sparks will call you as needed. Currently, more servers are needed for the Sun 8am and 5:30pm Masses. If you have further questions about scheduling, please call Hillery Sparks at 752-2999.
